This past Saturday, Orange Volunteers, County Fire & EMS staff and Mine Run volunteers answered a call for a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Lahore road and Baltimore Drive. As the incident unfolded, a total of 7 patients were treated and of that total, 5 patients were transported. Three of those patients were air lifted by UVA Pegasus, Air Care I and Air Care II with life threatening injuries. A total of 6 medic units were on the call with mutual aid assistance provided by Louisa County Fire & EMS. This accident continues to be under investigation by the Virginia State Police and the patients are continuing to receive advanced medical care. Please keep the friends and family in your thoughts.
