Box 2300 News Updates- March 2018

Associate Member Jessica Harlow, April 17

In the month of March, 2018, the OVFC responded to 97 calls, bringing our year-to-date calls to 264. March, 2018 was a record breaking month for the Fire Company - 97 calls is the most calls responded to in a single month in the history of the Department!

Associate Member Jessica Harlow, March 22

This month we sat down with Captain Travis Pope to ask him a few questions about being a volunteer firefighter with OVFC.

Travis joined OVFC in 2002, after being a member in Gordonsville Fire Company for 10 years. Travis lives in Orange, with his wife, Renee, daughters Kaylie and Karrie, and their dog, Bailey. OVFC Responds to Working Fire Saturday Afternoon

Lieutenant Jason Morris, March 10

Units from OVFC responded to a reported Structure Fire on Pamunkey Lane in the 2316 box Saturday afternoon. First arriving units found a two story residential structure fully involved. Crews from Engine 23 stretched two attack lines and protected additional exposures while conducting a defensive attack. Rock grew up in Orange and graduated from Orange County High School in 1997. He joined OVFC December 1994. He works at Ridgeview New Holland in the parts department.
